Senior Notices!

  • ALL college applications should be submitted before leaving for Christmas break!
  • Parents- sign onto https://fsaid.ed.gov to apply for a FSA ID Number if you have not done so yet. You will need this after the new year to apply for FAFSA.
  • Students will sign up for an FSA ID Number in Senior Transitions class. If you are not in Senior Transitions see Miss Friedman to apply for one ASAP.
  • Scholarship info is put in senior mailboxes as it becomes available, seniors check your mailboxes!

Useful Websites for Financial Aid and other College Information

  • www.collegecost.ed.gov/scorecard - Helpful in comparing colleges. Gives comparisons of costs, graduation rates, loan default rates, borrowing, and employment data.
  • www.collegerealitycheck.com - A great site to use to compare colleges—this one compares net price, graduation rates, and average debt payments for colleges you select.
  • http://www.consumerfinance.gov - This site has lots of useful information under the “pay for college” header. The information is particularly useful in choosing loans, and comparing financial aid sources.
  • Financial Aid award comparison tool: Lets you compare up to 3 awards letters based on the bottom line or net cost. Go to www.hesc.ny.gov and click on the link.
  • www.studentaid.ed.gov - Contains information about preparing for college and different types of aid available. Links to other sites like FAFSA.gov
