Students in grades 7th through 12th attended a presentation by John Perricone entitled Suicide Prevention. The students learned about signs that may indicate a friend is thinking about suicide and how to get the friend help from adults here at school or in the community. They also learned that there is now a national phone number, for calls or texts, available to all ages. There are caring adults who can provide support to those who are thinking about suicide for yourself or for a friend. That number is 988. It was a powerful message and the student response was positive.

On Friday SK Presents celebrated December birthdays. Kelly Short of Delaware Opportunities visited us to pick up the food boxes that were beautifully decorated by our classes and generously filled by our community. These food boxes have been an SK tradition for over 30 years and SK is the only school in Delaware County that collects for the Food Bank which serves 17 food pantries throughout the county!

SKCS Honor Scoiety and Student Council helped the Christmas Feeling Fund prepare boxes and gifts for 160 families! So proud of them all and their hard work!
